Get Those Grills Ready for Summer!

RusticGrillingPlanksS8[1].jpg We enjoyed our first outdoor BBQ of the year this past weekend, and were delighted to try a delicious salmon fillet - grilled on a wooden plank. Used for centuries by the Native Americans, "plank grilling" is growing in popularity.

To use a wooden plank for grilling, the pros at grillingwood.com recommend soaking the plank in water for at least one hour before cooking, rubbing olive oil on the plank before placing food on it, placing the plank away from direct flame, maintaining a closed lid temperature of 350 - 400 degrees, and using a spray water bottle to keep the wood from flaming.

Check out their great selection of grilling planks, with choices like Hickory, Peach, and Maple.
