"Green" Water is the New Evian

evian_water[1].gif

It seems that drinking bottled water has become more politically incorrect than buying imported asparagus in December.

On the environmentally conscious bandwagon, NYC hotels and restaurants are banning bottled water from the premises in increasing numbers. The New York Post reports that City hot spots like Waverly Inn and Del Posto will soon be nixing glass and plastic bottled waters from their menus, instead offering diners $5 pints of house brewed seltzer. While tap water remains gratis in some establishments, a few choice restaurants, like Thomas Keller's Per Se, have installed expensive water filtration systems in order to offer "house-brand" filtered water.

You didn't think water would be free now, did you?
