New York Times Magazine Parts Ways With Amanda Hesser

Hesser%20-%20Mr.%20Latte[1].jpg

Oh Amanda.

We love your simple and elegant recipe for Lemon Chicken, but can't help be miffed by reports that your award of 3 stars to Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Spice Market came on the heels of his blurb for your book.

Apparently, The New York Times Magazine agrees. The food editor has been bought out of her contract by the magazine, which many are attributing to not only the Spice Market scandal, but also the lukewarm reception of her latest book, Cooking for Mr. Latte.

Word on the street is Hesser will be moving on to a "web-based venture."
