Tavern on the Green...San Francisco Edition?

metreon_blog240x320[1].jpg

The owners of Central Park's wildly successful Tavern on the Green are in the process of branching out for the first time ever. After perusing properties in locales such as Miami and Las Vegas, San Francisco was selected for the opening of a new 43,000 square foot space, perched on top of the Metreon movie theater, which is a stone's throw from the City's convention center.

"We want to take full advantage of the San Francisco diner, as well as the 8 million people that go through the convention center each year," the COO told SF Business Times. Chef Brian Young, of Citarella and Le Bernardin fame, is on board to helm the kitchen.
